Sharpless 129 and OU4 nebulae.
The blue nebula, OU4, is so faint that it hasn't been discovered until 2011 by Nicolas Outters.
It took me 19h20 of exposure with a OIII (Oxygen) filter to capture it, and 6 more hours with a Ha (Hydrogen) filter to get Sh2-129, for a total exposure of 25h20m from my backyard near Paris.
The fabulous story of OU4 discovery : http://outters.fr/wp/wp-content/uploads ... OU4-eu.pdf

Technical data : William Optics ZenithStar 66 / AZ-EQ6 / Moravian G2-8300 / Astrodon 5nm Ha and OIII filters / Ha : 36 x 600 sec / OIII : 58 x 1200 sec.

Milkway Rising, Lake Tarawera (New Zealand)
Credit : Amit Kamble

The image shows milkyway rising behind Mount Tarawera (Lake Tarawera) along with a strong airglow. Mount Tarawera. Mount Tarawera is the volcano responsible for one of New Zealand's largest historic eruptions. Located 24 kilometres southeast of Rotorua in the North Island, it consists of a series of rhyolitic lava domes that were fissured down the middle by an explosive basaltic eruption in 1886, which killed an estimated 120 people. These fissures run for about 17 kilometres northeast-southwest.

The Pacman Nebula - NGC 281

copyright: Rafael Schmall
Image
Large version: http://www.asztrofoto.hu/galeria/img/1474037869.jpg

NGC 281 is an H II region in the constellation of Cassiopeia and part of the Perseus Spiral Arm. It includes the open cluster IC 1590, the multiple star HD 5005, and several Bok globules. Colloquially, NGC 281 is also known as the Pacman Nebula for its resemblance to the video game character.

The nebula was discovered in August 1883 by E. E. Barnard, who described it as "a large faint nebula, very diffuse." The multiple star HD 5005, also called beta one, was discovered by S. W. Burnham. It consists of an 8th-magnitude primary with four companions at distances between 1.4 and 15.7 seconds of arc. There has been no appreciable change in this quintuple system since the first measurements were made in 1875.

The field includes emission region Sh2-227 top left, IC 405 (top center) about 1,500 light-years distant. Also known as the Flaming Star Nebula, its Hydrogen Alpha convoluted clouds of glowing hydrogen gas are energized by hot O-type star AE Aurigae. Slightly to the below is M38.

IC 410 (below center slightly right) is significantly more distant, some 12,000 light-years away. The star forming region is famous for its embedded young star cluster, NGC 1893, and tadpole-shaped clouds of dust and gas. IC 417 and NGC 1931 at the lower right.

Uncatalogued Galaxies in the Antlia Galaxy Cluster Extreme Deep Field
http://www.rolfolsenastrophotography.com
Copyright: Rolf Wahl Olsen Full resolution image links:
Unannotated version: http://www.rolfolsenastrophotography.co ... -3GJdqqH/O
Annotated version with uncatalogued galaxies marked: http://www.rolfolsenastrophotography.co ... -mRmsS6P/O

Here is the latest version of my ultra-deep image showing the Antlia Galaxy Cluster. This is the deepest view ever obtained of the cluster, and perhaps the longest exposure reached by an amateur (152 hours).
The 2nd image is an annotated version of the image where I have marked all currently known galaxies from all catalogues. Red circles indicate additional uncatalogued galaxies which are not listed in any of the previous studies of the galaxy cluster population. 18 of these uncatalogued galaxies appear neutral/blue in colour and could be new candidate dwarf members of the cluster.
The Intracluster Light visible in the image is also not previously described in literature.
The Antlia Cluster (Abell S0636) is a compact cluster of galaxies located in the Southern constellation Antlia (The Air Pump). It forms part of the large Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster some 133 million light years distant, which makes it possibly the third closest galaxy cluster to our Local Group, after the Virgo and Fornax Clusters.
Over the course of 6 months I used a homebuilt 12.5 inch f/4 Serrurier Truss Newtonian telescope to collect 152 hours exposure on this magnificent and rarely imaged galaxy cluster. With a limiting magnitude of 25 the resulting image reveals most of these galaxies to be gravitationally interacting. Scattered across the background are a vast number of deeply reddened distant galaxies, many of which appear grouped into distant clusters of their own, far beyond the realms of the Antlia Cluster.
A diffuse trailing glow extends from the upper NGC 3258 group down towards and above the more massive NGC3268 group. This is Intracluster Light; the feeble glow of stars not gravitationally bound to one particular galaxy but still bound to the cluster as a whole. The groups also appear connected by a bridge of material, possibly reaching further down to include NGC3269. This is a peculiar Sa spiral surrounded by several tidal loops and clumps, and featuring a tiny 4 arcsecond wide dust cloud superimposed on the bright blue spiral arms.
Also visible throughout is a veil of Integrated Flux Nebula; ultra-faint traces of gas and dust not directly illuminated by stars but merely reflecting the faint combined glow of our own galaxy.
The vertical stretch of reddish nebulousity is part of the recently discovered large Antlia Supernova Remnant.
