Antares and Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Region Wide-Field View
The Rho Ophiuchi and Antares dark cloud region is located in the constellation Ophiuchus just north of Antares and is one of the closest star-forming regions to our solar system. This image was produced using nine 30-second exposures and a Canon 6D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM lens, both mounted on an iOptron Skytracker mount. The lens was left wide open at f/2.8 and set at 70mm, images were stacked in DeepSkyStacker. The image was heavily processed to coax out the nebula areas with the short exposure time. It also shows the planets Saturn (brightest point in the upper left) and Mars (the brightest point) as of April 14, 2016.

Ann wrote:Your zodiacal light image is great, Petr H, but tell me something. Is all of it in color? The Milky Way looks very colorful in your image, but the rest appears to be (almost) black and white.
What is the bright source near the top in your image?
Ann
Dear Ann,
It's result of the post-processing - feel free to read much more details here, including of post-process steps:
http://www.astronom.cz/horalek/?p=2351. In short I had to deal with strong and various colors of airglow, especially above horizon. That's why the colors are weak far from the Milky Way, which was, actually, in zenith. But generally I tried to avoid too much color saturation, which decreases the better quality of the structures as well (due to deep colors of background). The bright object is planet Jupiter.
If you look at the image in horizontal way again (see bellow), you can notice the ecliptic constellations. The Jupiter (left) lies in Leo, then follows the Virgo (bright star in Gegenschein is Spica), dim stars left from the MW bulge are from Libra, in MW Scorpius (with Mars and Saturn), Sagittarius, right from bulge is Capricorn and bright column of the light lies in the Aquarius. In full res image (feel free to download here -
http://www.astronom.cz/horalek/wp-conte ... 00px-1.png) there is chance to spot even the Helix nebula.

Three faces of the Sun
One of the most interesting active regions AR12546 on the Sun in last weeks. Not so active but very attractive visually.
To make this photos I used TS 102/1100 refractor with TV barlow 2x and PG Chameleon3 camera.
And three different accesories for different bands: Lunt etalon and BelOptik ERF for h-alpha, Lunt CaK B600 diagonal for K-Line and Baader ND3,8 with Solar Continuum for white light.
