Apogee Moon And the Winter Sky
http://www.flickr.com/photos/53210246@N ... 958883046/
Fog rolled in as the temperature dropped after today's rainfall. The bright moon cast distinct rays of light through gaps in the trees. In this image, Jupiter shines just above left of the moon, nearly hidden by its glare. The winter sky fills the rest.

Rising Full Moon and Jupiter

Today evening I planned to capture the rising full Moon and the Jupiter with a ruin or anything interesting.
I was looking for sites and stopped finally at a junction between two villages. The landscape was simple with some trees along the road.
I waited a passing car to illuminate the road and during the exposition the rear lights made a red trail.
Photo details: Canon EOS 400D & EF-S 10-22 USM lens at 13 mm, F4, ISO 200 and 15 sec. exp. time.

Structures of stardust.
The nebula of "Elephant Trunk" with contents of interstellar gas and dust near the star cluster cataloged as IC1396, which ionize the H II gas, located in the constellation of Cepheus, at 2400 light years away from Earth .
I used the Epsilon 180ED telescope, the camera FLI8300 and 2:40 hours of exposure.

Lunar Halo in the Eifel mountains
Many thousands of years ago, this used to be Europe's volcanism hotsport: the Eifel supervolcano field. Today, only volcanic lakes (Maars) in former magma chambers of cinder cones remain, as the one shown here in Schalkenmehren, Germany. An intense lunar halo is also visible, probably as it has happened many times over the geological history of the region, irrespective of what happened on the ground.

A few snaps from my (very) modest setup, taken nowhere special in particular - the patio of an ordinary garden in a town centre location.
