Well, this is the only forum that does not really relate to astronomy...I guess people like to take a break from talking astronomy and talk about other things, which I think is the purpose of this forum. Actually a good idea.

I love pictures of the day; but the discoveries on the planets and the moons really intrigue me. Day by day I set up a different picture of the day for my wallpaper.

Try buying a coffee and donut at Dunkin donuts, for instance. Even IF they could make change, YOU wouldn't be able to carry it home with you. VERY INCONVENIENT, if you ask me. That's what a checkbook is for

Maybe you'd prefer one of these Swedish 17th century coins. As you can see, you could indeed saw off bits to use as payment. This "coin block" contains five coins for the price of one - or at the very least, you can carry all five of the coins with you without having one of them slip through the hole in your pocket!

I sea. I've seen a seesaw see-sawing and I've seen a diamond saw sawing, but as to just what they were seeing and sawing, I'm not sure. My see-ers don't saw to good anymore.

It's at times like these that I want to call myself a Scandinavian, so that I can sun myself in the glory of the Danes. Lego, of course, is a Danish invention, and the name, "Lego", comes from the Danish expression "leg godt" - "play well".

And not only did the Danish invent Lego, with whose help you can build the whole world from small plastic building blocks, but they also explained quantum theory, thus literally building the entire universe from even smaller and non-plastic building blocks.

And not only did the Danes create Lego and quantum mechanics, but now a physicist working at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen actually, truly built a Lego model of the Large Hadron Collider, the place where physicists search for proof that the fabric of reality is really made of the particles they think it is made of!
