Oh, I tried a piece of the dry kind. The canned stuff is too repulsive to sample.

By law, cat and dog food have to be fit for human consumption. So geckzilla, that canned cat food is perfectly safe for you to sample! :lol2:

I've known pet food buyers for a major grocery chain to keep bowls of kibble on their desks for snacking.

Yeah, I know it wouldn't hurt me. I mean, I wouldn't want to feed anything to my cat if it would! But it's still revolting.

Well, I read one day that cats have no receptors for sweet and sugary flavors. So cat food, therefore, can't ever be flavored with sugar. Presumably there isn't much salt in cat food, either. And certainly no hot spices. Ask yourself what your food would taste like without sugar, salt and spices!

But I know a cat who just loves tomato sauce in his cat food! :D

Last Sunday we got rain, rain, rain. Yesterday we got rain, rain, rain.

Good thing it wasn't snow. It would have left us with some 30 centimeters (0.3 meters) of snow on the ground. That would have made me totally miserable!

Chris, I believe you like snow. Have you got any yet?

Oh, if you do that, please post a picture!!
Well, I admit I was joking, but I accept the challenge. It'll have to be on a weekend, though, when I have the time. But I will still try and get a picture up here!

The dust doesn't surprise me; as dry as it's been! With winds in the 40MPH range with gusts in the 60's; there's going to be some top soil picked up!

Yesterday we had 18C, almost 19C here in Malmö. That is surely one of the warmest late October days we've had in last one hundred years.

Same here Ann, it is the warmest October since the last 100 years in Germany, 25° C!

German people dream always of a Golden October, when sunshine and the colorfull plant leaves, especially the yellowish ones, make a romantic scene.
I took a pic out of my window, I like fall!

I am glad to have that view! The big hill hides the possibility to see the sunrise but at east-south-east I can watch moonrise.
My flatmates in the lower floors have to look at the neighbours homes!
A friend who lived two floors down could hear what the neighbours were allways talking and having for meals :lol2: , she knew the family very well
after 5 years! I can look down and see what they watch on tv or the pc monitor

But I live close to the highway and high frequent train rails, it is very loud, I have to shut my window to make phone calls.
In the pic they are horizontal from left to right along the trees and buildings, so I get the full blast. :|
Sometimes, when very long cargo containers are transported on the railroad, my Ikea mirror on the wall vibrates!

So, sometimes when you are looking into your Ikea, when a train is going by, and you're asking -who's the fairest Moonlady of all-, you look a bit fuzzy :?:

The weather has been; (for a week and shall be for another);----warm enough so I don't have to use the furnace; and cool enough so I don't have to use the AC! 8-) Now that's what I call good weather! :D

And OMG, is it allllll over the news! It's not just Sandy, but a trough coming in from the north, too. Parts of Maryland, West by God Virginia, and Pennsylvania may get heavy snow. Oh, and something else, too -- it's three systems coming together.

There will be no bread, milk, nor toilet paper on the store shelves by morning.

So, with the Italian earthquake scientists still fresh on everyone's minds, Sandy is certainly not being downplayed by anyone. The internet's response? Scientists are fear-mongering and pushing their climate-change agenda!

Not really what I was hoping to see when I walked onto the patio this morning, the day before a big storm is due....
