This cloud captures the viewer’s attention for its remarkable shape, while showing examples of dark absorption nebula, bright reflection nebula, and extended red emission nebula.

For this image I integrated 19 sub-exposures, each 480 second long, via a 65 mm f/6.5 apochromatic quadruplet astrograph, with a Nikon D5500 DSLR (modified to let H-alpha radiation reach the sensor) from a dark site (SQM 21.7 mag/arcsec2). Each sub-exposure was calibrated with bias frames, dark frames and flat frames, and the 19 sub-exposures were stacked together. The stack was then processed using PixInsight and StarNet++.

Time Lapse Total Solar Eclipse
Time Lapse of the Total Solar Eclipse on July 2, 2019 in Chile. In the Time Lapse you can see the concealment of the sun by the moon, as the shadow extends on the earth, the sunset and the zodiacal light appearing just where the sun is hidden. The equipment I have used is a Canon EOS 6D Mark 2 camera and a Samyang 14mm F1.8 lens. I hope you like it.

Tulip Nebula + Cygnus X-1:

That lovely H-II emission nebula in Cygnus is accompanied by a strong X-ray source nearby that has become the first black hole being approved,
Imaged with my 10inch Newtonian reflector and APS-C sized DSLR.

Our Sun's corona, briefly visible during the July 2nd total solar eclipse, displays subtle influences of the star's complex magnetic field in this composite. Several pinkish prominences dot the lunar limb and lunar features appear upside-down to those more familiar with its appearance from the Northern Hemisphere. The image includes 49 exposures (seven groups of seven bracketed exposures) captured through a Nikon 180mm f/2.8 ED lens at f/4 attached to a Canon 70D DSLR camera from the Casa Molle Villa and resort in El Molle, Vicuña, Región de Coquimbo, Chile.

A Cloudy Night in the Astro Camp
Copyright: György Soponyai

The annual astro camp of Hungarian Astronomical Association is held in Gerecse Mountain near Tarján (~50km southwest from Budapest). Every year ~ 300-400 amateur astronomers come together for common sky-wathcing in a long weekend. This year I was experimenting using a deep sky photo filter together with an all-sky fish-eye lens. During the three hours of the photo session clouds were continuously running through the sky resulting a quite surreal photo.
The field is being painted to red by the observing lamp of fellow amateur astronomers -- and to white by the lightnings of a storm cell flying through the northeastern horizon.

Lovely M20 - Trifid Nebula with DSLR:

Not an easy task from 47°N but I used my mobile setup (6inch refractor and APS-C sized DSLR) as I could not reach the Trifid from my little observatory due to being so low on the horizon.
