It seems there isn´t any kind of moontrail in the picture? I suppose there should be, shouldn´t be?

nope, there is moontrail, but its shape differs from those of stars, and resembles "U" twice as big as moon itself in diameter.
you can see it best looking at blue channel of image. or, try this transform on blue channel to "fight" image overexposure and see a bit more details:

that shows brightness distribution details in sort-of false color.
