My parents

Post by Morutea » Sat Oct 21, 2006 4:19 pm

Hello all,

It is my first post :)

I want your thoughts on this:
Do you feel that because your parents may have supported you when you were younger, that you "owe" it to them to support them now?

(Pay the bills they run up etc, just because they did it for you when you were younger and unable to work)

Thanks. :)

how are you obliged to support a parent who was mistreating you or never shown any care. the ultimate answer is, perhaps, that you ask wrong question. it should rather be "do I want to support my parents". answer it yourself, and act in accordinance.

actually, i'm still living with my mom and i take care of her in both financial and moral aspect... I'm doing these not simply because i "owe" her for the things she had done for me but because I "value" the love and care she had shown me.

isn't it weird how this kind of topic has survived here?

hmmmm must be because it is a "peer reviewed" paper on the topic in astronomy!?!?

Or does this fall under the Night Sky Live category?
