If anyone is interested in Alp Cen, it should be noted that it is listed in older photometry files as HD252838, Tthe proper HD number is 128620. Alp Cen, like some other stars, was previously listed with it's SAO number in place of it's HD number. This has been corrected and Alp Cen is currently listed as HD 128620, I have not yet pinpointed when the change took place.

I had to deal with this problem with Polaris this summer. I found that the numbers switch from SAO to HD around March 1st, 2004. It is hard to pinpoint the exact day because from around Feb. 22nd through March 3rd, there is a combination of water droplets on the lens and a very bright moon. The last point of usable data in Feb. uses SAO numbers while the first usable point in Mar. uses HD numbers, so it makes sense that it switched around the first of March.
