They seem to be quite similar but with some small differences mainly to do which how they behave and where they originate. I confess I never really thought about this.Tigist Sitota wrote:what is the diffrence between astroioidds and comets?

A comet leaves a tail. or trail of material as it orbits close to the sun.
An asteroid has no tail as it never gets close enough to the sun.
Thus you have it, an asteroid is a tailless comet, , ,
