APOD: The Arms of NGC 4258 (2007 Apr 11)

The radio-wavelength arms appear to be in a different plane than the visible arms--not just a different alignment in the disc. Almost as if there are 2 discs that intersect at the center. Anybody know?

The x-ray/radio portions in blue/purple resemble huge "Bubble" like nebulas that are expanding on either side of the disk and interacting with the visible matter in the area.

Let’s start with Albert Einstein’s statement, "Space and time are not conditions in which we live; they are simply modes in which we think."

If we begin with the idea that space and time are simply modes in which we think, then everything we see is actually a delivery system for the point of view that we have chosen in each moment.

“What We Perceive To Be Reality, Magnifies.”

Perception is reality. But, whose perception? This is much different than what is meant by the saying, “What we focus upon creates reality,” which implies that we are creators or at least co-creators. It’s easier than that, because perception is reality.

On the TV program “60 Minutes” a General spoke about war as a perception.

As a financial planner I know very well that the stock market is an agreed upon perception.

The worldview that governs so much of our lives, is an agreed upon perception.

Everything that the five senses tells us is a perception. Not a real thing, a perception. But this perception blocks from view what IS Reality.

Cleaning up perception is not creating a new world. It is seeing the world, as it really is: completely and irresistibly.

As we become aware of the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and perceptions that color the world we see; we get to choose whether we want to continue with that perception of the worldview, or learn to see with a perception that allows all possibilities to exist and see what the data supports.

Since what we perceive to be reality, magnifies our previous position of viewpoint to the extent we ignore alternate viewpoints, we become narrowed in perception, and narrowed in acceptance and searching, and thusly can easily miss what is truly there or happening.

This relates directly to todays APOD.

The blue areas are regions of electrified plasma, organized by the magnetic forces which the electrical flows the plasma conducts generates.

If one is seeing with the perception that gravity is the only force in operation in this galaxy and nebula, then one is narrowed in their perception and analysis and ability to perceive what is truly happening.

Multiple new satellite spectrums of observation have aided our perception in octaves of the ElectroMagnetic spectrum that visible light does not see. This new data is telling us the magnetic fields and plasma and electric currents are existing in deep space and in galaxies and nebulas. To only think that gravity is the sole responsible force for everything out there is immature, ignorant and blind.

When an analysis is done considering electric forces, and magnetic forces, and plasma as an interstellar conductor, many things become overwhelmingly clear as to what is happening.

Congratulations to those with an open mind who are willing to look and to see.

And here's me thinking that it looked like one of the underwater aliens in the film 'The Abyss'... :)
Regards,
Andy.
