Referring to another thread, "does APOD recycling topics and pictures???", not only do they recycle pictures and topics, but also text. I'm not criticizing APOD. With 365 days a year to fill, there's not enough time to create something new every day. Keep up the good work.

I remember another rose on APOD, but I can't find the link. It looked like a blue, long stemmed rose floating in space. Does anyone else remember this

Thanks, but no. I pretty sure it wasn't the Rosette Nebula at all.

I think it was a reflection nebula and an associated dark dust cloud that looked like a long stemmed rose from the side. The blue rosebud (reflection nebula?) was to the right with the stem (dust cloud?) extending to the left.

Still can't find it, but I have found a couple of other roses thanks to the Spitzer Space Telescope.

Talking about how stunning and/or pretty APOD images can be I wonder if the Forum Members have ever tried inverting the colours of images. The results can be even more amazing. In order to do it the images seem to need to be copied and then pasted. Then simply highlighting the image as if you were going to copy it will invert the colours (at least it does on a basic MS Works that I have!). I thought I would mention this just in case anybody has never tried it.
