pupil problems

due to a lower back injury i am prescribed very strong painkillers. one side effect that bothers me the most is these drugs constrict my pupils. my night vision is almost nonexistant. is there a way to compensate for this with my telescope optics? next appointment i'm going to ask my doc if there are eyedrops or something i can use to dialate my pupils so that i can enjoy my hobby as i used to.

how about attaching some camera to the telescope and view the picture at notebook or something?
