Am I missing something with this picture?
The Summer and Winter Solstice positions seem mislabeled, and/or I could be an idiot (not mutually exclusive).
In the picture we are facing West at the sunset. To the right would be North, and to the left - South. The description of the APOD for sunset positions says the sun sets further south during the winter solstice, but the leftmost (southern) sun is labeled summer solstice in the picture.
APOD 12-21-2005 wrong?

The caption says Does the Sun always rise in the same directionIn the picture we are facing West at the sunset
I wouldn't go that farand/or I could be an idiot
Whew, I was about to start believing in Intelligent Design!
I think my early morning uncaffeinated reading skills saw the phrase "The Sun will always rise and set furthest..." and jumped straight to the idea that was the setting sun, despite captions otherwise.
I'll leave my post up as a testament to peer review!
