I could have sworn that today's APOD was an aerial view of Boston Harbor, rather than of a methane bay on Titan. I really did a double (actually triple) take. Compare! I found Back Bay, Goverment Center, Logan Airport, and a few harbor islands on Titan! (Yeah I know, it's a little distorted, and I should be doing something more productive with my time, but I couldn't resist).

I'm not on reefer, crack, blow, etc... but I can see what he's talking about. Eg, where one would find Logan airport. Somewhat like clouds, the human mind can find any sort of pattern or resemblance in something rather random (Man in the moon (or rabbit in the moon for Korean/Japanese), hunters, horses, etc in the stars...). Doesn't mean anybody's on dope.

I find it interesting that no one has yet pointed out the face on Titan. It is visible in the top center of the image as it appears in the captioned image on the APOD web site. half way between the top of the image and the first dark "Bay". It is, of course, an alien face with the large black eyes, "S" shaped brow ridges, long narrow nose (most distinguishable), and small mouth on a triangular shaped face. Much like the "Grays" of common sightings.

As of 9-24-05 the image in question is the last thumbnail in the recent series of Titan. The face is peeking at you from the upper right corner of the thumbnail image. (WELL, It would appear that the thumbnail image has been forced onto the "View more images" page. It is the third Titan image from 9-16)
