Slightly Off-Topic: the 25" telescope

Lenses, pasted from the email I got:
TELE VUE EYEPIECES & LASER COLLIMATORS

We are often asked "What eyepieces should I use"? Tele Vue Nagler and
Panoptic eyepieces are simply the best for fast reflecting telescopes like
the Obsession. As an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) we offer these
eyepieces at OEM discount.

5 mm Nagler, 82° field, 12 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 6, eyepiece $275

7 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 12 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 6, eyepiece $275

9 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 12 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 6, eyepiece $275
11mm* Nagler, 82° field, 12 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 6, eyepiece $275

12 mm Nagler, 82° field, 17 mm eye relief, 2/1 1/4" Type 4, eyepiece $345
13mm* Nagler, 82° field, 12 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 6, eyepiece $275
16 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 10 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" Type 5, eyepiece $325
17 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 17 mm eye relief, 2" Type 4, eyepiece $375
20mm* Nagler, 82° field, 17 mm eye relief, 2" Type 5, eyepiece $425
22 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 17 mm eye relief, 2" Type 4, eyepiece $445
26mm Nagler, 82° field, 16 mm eye relief, 2" Type 5, eyepiece $560
31 mm* Nagler, 82° field, 19 mm eye relief, 2" Type 5, eyepiece $595
15 mm Panoptic, 68° field, 10 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" eyepiece $210
19 mm Panoptic, 68° field, 13 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" eyepiece $240
22 mm Panoptic, 68° field, 15 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" eyepiece $275
24 mm Panoptic, 68° field, 16 mm eye relief, 1 1/4" eyepiece $285
27 mm* Panoptic, 68° field, 19 mm eye relief, 2" eyepiece $325
35 mm* Panoptic, 68° field, 24 mm eye relief, 2" eyepiece $360
Paracor coma corrector, 2" $285 (mandatory with scopes under f/4.5)
2X Big Barlow, 2" $195 includes 1 1/4 adaptor, filter threads

O-3 filter* 2", $195 Highly recommend and a must have for all
emission nebulae like the Swan, Vail, Dumbell, Owl and all planetarys.
Maximum contrast and narrowest bandpast.

Barlowed-Laser Collimator* 2" barrel. $150 Highly recommended.
Includes 2" threaded barlow for the new Barlowed-laser technique. The best
tool and great visual aid for precise collimation of fast Newtonians.

* We recommend and use these items with Obsession telescopes. Paracor
mandatory on f/4 scopes, optional f/4.5, not needed for f/5.

Highly recommended are the new Type 4, Type, 5 and Type 6 Naglers. Long eye
relief, widest dramatic field of view, the best contrast and adjustable
eyeguard. Simply the best.
So now we need to find cheaper alternates.

Dan, perhaps you should write another email to these chaps and tell them our situation, ask them how we would best invest a few hundred (not thousands) of dollars.
