Here's one for the "What the heck is this?" APOD category.
This LASCO C3 image from 2005/02/02 15:18 :

has a strange swath of light across the frame from top to bottom.
It is not in the frame before or after on LASCO C3 nor on the closest LASCO C2 image (which was taken at a slightly different time).
Has anyone seen something like this before?
Does anyone know exactly what it is?
