Voynich manuscript discussion: 2005 January 22
The Voinich Manucript
The symmetry about the sun is reminiscent of many Astrology publications and predictive devices. The script is apparently western, and possibly in a minor dialect, such as Sicilian or Corsican, etc. Judging by its limited scope (sun-only), it is not of great astronomical significance except for an indiacation of firmness of accurate knowlwdge extant at its time.

What about the Basque people? For centuries they had no written script and a distinctly different language from either Spain or France. It is not a romance language or recognizable as belonging to any other language family.
The Basque were early seafarers who traveled far and wide. They are believed to have been to the "new world" many times times long before Columbus. Perhaps some scholarly type makes these notes on foreign herbs and navigation during the journey. He intends to go home to share his thoughts but then dies on the boat. The sailors find the book incomprehensible and trade it at the next port because they need food or a ship part. They convince a merchant that this is a language that others will recognize and he buys the book.
For hundreds of years the whole world puzzles over this poor fellow's shorthand or attempt to write in Basque. Because his "written Basque" never makes it back home, the Basque people develop a written language independently hundreds of years after this book was created -- thus leaving no trail and no key.

A mother and daughter observation
Ironically enough the document looks as though drawn by a child, Ive seen similiar artistic impressions of the sun and the stars around it. My daughter wanted to send her theory that the stars seen are representing heavinly bodies that surround the sun. Think about it simplistically. The center of the universe is a mad representation of a pretentious child.
Voynich Manuscript
When I showed the page with cylinders on the left and leaves on the right, my observant wife said she thought the cylinders were jars to hold medicine and the leaves represented herbs used to make the medicines.

Emperor Rudolph II's collection of personal works?
Yep, I think the 'manuscript' is not from 15th century but actually from the "Desk of Emperor Rudolph II" himself over a span of his more reclusive, 'introspective' moments.
these fabricated, non-fiction works are his outlet for science and discovery...pure fantasy and candy for the emperor..
I'm guessing produced and collected between 1585-1600.
Your thoughts on Rudolph II's creation?

new position of earth
Could it be that the constellations in the book reflect a previous position of the earth in the galaxi melemiums past ? The earth is presently in a new position in the universe!
Voynich Manuscript
Has any one ever looked at it in a mirror could it be a negative
Voynich manuscript.
Maybe it's an elaborate hoax or maybe the constellations really exist, but from a different point of origin than Earth.
the Mystery
A couple of things that I found myself thinking about
A.) Most US Citizen Computer Users will quickly cry, "Hoax", because of the following reasons.
... They do not have a good handle on other languages, because they have no need too! If it's not "english" it is a 'waste of time'. (Unless I can be/get paid for learning it!)
... Most will not spend more than a few minutes at most trying to study it. If it doesn't come 'quickly, give up.'
... It takes less time to prove a hoax, therefore because this takes time to understand, it must be a hoax, then I do NOT have to study it.
I for one, LOVE a good mystery and understand that some things will and do take time to learn, discover and resolve.
This is the internet and thus, we have a community of people to work with, if they are willing. I think this is what the thread is all about. Dialog and explore and discover ... by >> WORKING TOGETHER << not just taking the easy road: It's a hoax!! (out...)
................The End.
