Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks
Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is a Halley-type periodic comet with an orbital period of approximately 71.3 years. This comet is currently located among the stars of the constellation Cassiopeia.
The imaging equipment used was the Sky-Watcher Quattro 250P/10-S, with an exposure time of 66 minutes, captured in individual frames of 60 seconds each. The photos were taken on March 7, 2024.

APOD Submission
Hello folks
I took an image for the Orion nebula and the Running Man nebula, with the long exposure of RGB, and added hydrogen aloha and sulfur ii in the red channel (as naturally where they belong) and added the OIII between green and blue to show the most realistic detailed image as possible with saturated gasses, I also focused on bringing out all of the integrated flux nebulas and dark nebula giving with a low exposure Orion core show an entire dynamic field of view without any exaggerations and tried to ensure to have graduated lighting around the frame with good contrast.

It may seem incredibly lonely and desolate in the Kuwaiti desert during those hours right before sunset. Though unspeakable beauty lies just beyond the atmosphere, clinging to the sun's fading light. For those of us unafraid of the dark, wonders await.
The spiral galaxy M106, is one of the night sky's most well guarded secrets, only accessible in full with deep focal lengths and long integration of light. Hence, my trusty 9.25-inch Celestron EdgeHD telescope was my companion for this endeavor, which spanned 18 hours and 9 minutes of total capture time split into three nights. At the heart of M106 lies a supermassive black hole, a gravitational powerhouse that shapes the galaxy's structure and dynamics. Beyond its awe-inspiring appearance, M106 serves as a vital subject for scientific inquiry. Its black hole provides scientists with a unique opportunity to study the physics of extreme environments, offering insights into the nature of gravity, matter, and the evolution of galaxies. Through rigorous observation and analysis, astronomers leveraged M106 to advance our understanding of the cosmos. From probing the dynamics of galactic nuclei to exploring the mechanisms of black hole accretion, M106 has contributed valuable data to modern scientific techniques, paving the way for groundbreaking discoveries and expanding our knowledge of the universe.

About the Image:
IC 2169, also called Dreyer’s Nebula, is a beautiful reflection nebula in the constellation of Monoceros as seen from the Earth. It is a lesser known target compared to the cone nebula and Christmas Tree cluster in its vicinity, and contains numerous bright and dark nebular structures. I ended up with 24.5 hours of useable data after throwing away approximately 8 hours of unusable sub-frames due to the effects on El Niño on the seeing conditions. This image is the result of a few back and forths between PixInsight and Photoshop, and it was rather fun to process the whole thing.

Messier 81 Bode's Galaxy
The galaxy’s central bulge contains much older, redder stars. It is significantly larger than the Milky Way’s bulge. A black hole of 70 million solar masses resides at the center of M81 and is about 15 times the mass of the Milky Way’s central black hole.

The central part of M42
Using Lucky Imaging technique I was able to resolve more stars in Trapezium cluster and explore the surrounding region reach in newborn stars, protoplanetary discs, and Herbig-Haro objects, that is usually overexposed in photographs with longer subframe times.
Total aquisition time: 683s (2732 x 250ms)
Equipment: SW Dobsonian 16" (406/1800) with Synscan AZ GoTo, ZWO ASI 585MC, Pegasus Astro Falcon Rotaror, Astronomik UV/IR-Block filter, and Baader MPCC Coma Corrector

Lake Chapo is a turquoise pre-mountain lake of glacial origin, located at 240 meters above sea level, 40 km northeast of Puerto Montt and 110 km southeast of Puerto Varas. It is located between the Alerce Andino National Park and the Llanquihue Natural Reserve, so it offers a very beautiful view of both the mountains that surround it and the lush vegetation of the place. It is the only lake in the Puerto Montt commune. Since 1990, it has had to endure the devastating effects of a basin transfer, producing an ecological imbalance without return associated with the operation of the Canutillar hydroelectric plant.
In the photograph we observe the reflection of the Milky Way in the lake, along with the Carina Nebula, the Southern Cross and the Galactic Center, as well as the airglow that dyes the scene red.

Esta Nebulosa Medusa es una nebulosa planetaria en la constelación de Géminis . También se conoce como Abell 21 y Sharpless #sh2274 Fue descubierta originalmente en 1955 por el astrónomo George O. #Abell de la Universidad de California en Los Ángeles , quien la clasificó como una antigua nebulosa planetaria. Hasta principios de la década de 1970, se pensaba que la nebulosa era un remanente de supernova. Al calcular las velocidades de expansión y el carácter térmico de la emisión de radio, los astrónomos soviéticos concluyeron en 1971 que lo más probable es que se tratara de una nebulosa planetaria. Como la nebulosa es tan grande, su brillo superficial es muy bajo, con magnitudes superficiales reportadas entre +15,99 y +25. La estrella central de la nebulosa planetaria es una estrella PG 1159 .

Simeis147 también conocida como Nebulosa Espagueti, o Sharpless #sh2240, #lbn822 es un remanente de supernova (SNR) en la Vía Láctea, se sitúa entre la frontera entre las constelaciones Auriga y Tauro. Descubierto en 1952 en el Observatorio Astrofísico de Crimea por Grigory Shajn y su equipo utilizando una cámara Schmidt y un filtro de banda estrecha que estaba cerca de la línea de transmisión de Hidrógeno Alfa. Es muy difícil de observar debido a su extremadamente bajo brillo. La captura la realicé en un mosaico de 3 paneles a través de mi telescopio #WOGT81IV cámara #zwoasi2600mcpro montura #azeq6pro totalmente en banda estrecha con filtro de optolong #lextreme.
Cada panel tiene 52 tomas de 900 segundos programado en N.I.N.A, en total esta fotografía tiene un tamaño de 65 mega pixeles y un tiempo acumulado de 39 horas capturadas durante las excelentes noches de enero 25-26-28-29 y febrero 1-2, el procesado se realizó en el software #pixinsigth

Las Pléyades, está entre los cúmulos estelares más cercanos a la Tierra ya que se sitúa a unos 400 años luz y es visible a simple vista en el cielo nocturno. Sin ser una constelación, la importancia que tiene en el cielo nocturno de las Pléyades hace que este cúmulo estelar abierto sea conocido en numerosas civilizaciones con una mitología propia. Se compone de entre unas 500 y 1.000 estrellas jóvenes nacidas de la misma nube de polvo y gas. Pero, como a simple vista solo llegaremos a ver unas siete estrellas, en muchos pueblos se las conoce como “las siete cabrillas” o “las siete hermanas” Son tan famosas que aparecen en distintas culturas y vamos a repasar las más importantes y curiosas.
Las Pléyades o Las siete hermanas (Messier 45 o M45) es un cúmulo estelar abierto que contiene estrellas calientes de tipo espectral B, de corta edad, ubicadas en la constelación de Tauro. Está entre los cúmulos estelares más cercanos a la Tierra, y es el cúmulo mejor visible a simple vista en el cielo nocturno.
Los astrónomos estiman que el grupo va a sobrevivir aproximadamente durante otros 250 millones de años, tiempo después del cual se dispersará debido a las interacciones gravitacionales en su entorno de tipo galáctico.

La Nebulosa del Velo del Este es un gran remanente de supernova en la constelación de Cygnus . Es una nube en expansión creada por la muerte de una estrella que explotó, se cree que la luz de esta explosión de supernova llegó a la Tierra hace unos 5000 años.
