Happy holidays everyone!

Does anyone have any particular fun things they do this time of year? I'll admit when I was younger, through my 20s, Christmas sort of lost its luster. But with kids the whole thing sort of comes to life again. The family tree hunt (we go to local u-cut farms; much tromping is always required to find the "right tree"), going "full Griswold" with the lights on the house, etc.

I've only been here a short time but had already grown fond of Orin's sparkling comments. My condolences to those here who knew him much longer.

I will miss Orin's presence in the APOD threads. I enjoyed his posts and his love of cats. He seemed to always enjoy finding the cat picture that is often included as one of the links in each APOD.
