"Mohamed Ali " Mosque was built on 1848 AD . This mosque is known as the "Alabaster Mosque", in reference to its marble paneling on its interior and exterior walls. The mosque’s twin minarets are the highest in all of Egypt, each reaching a height of 84 meters. Its l is located inside the Citadel of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Saladin) which is one of the most iconic monuments in Islamic Cairo, and among the most impressive defensive fortresses dating to the Middle Ages, You can find it as the wall surrounding the Mosque in the image.

This was really a challenging shot. I planned for it for several days to find the best location in a very crowded area down town to put the moon within the same frame with " Mohamed Ali " mosque and Citadel of "Salah Al Deen".
I climbed an old Minaret that was built in Medieval ages away by 2 km from the Citadel to observe the moon rising beside the Minaret of the Mosque . I use canon 200 D with Sigma lens 600mm . The imaging session was really exhausting in very hot weather and climbing old stairs inside the high minaret but I really enjoyed the result at the end.
Settings : iso 800 . F5.7 - 4/5 second at focal lens 150 mm.
For the moon 13 shots , iso 200- F 5 - 1/10 sec at 150 mm to make HDR moon.

Located in the constellation of Scorpius this dark nebula is known as SL 17.
The nebula resembles the shape of a wolf's profile and often is referred as the Wolf Nebula.
SL17 is situated in the emission nebula RCW113 (or Gum 55).

Vela (or SNR G263.9-03.3) is one of the closest known to us supernova remnant, located in the southern constellation Vela. Its source Type II supernova exploded approximately 11,000–12,300 years ago, and was about 800 light-years away.

I chose the SHO rendition instead of the more classical (but so beautiful) HOO versions in order to restitute the richness of the color shades of this wonderful target, and to bring a personal vision into it.

M12 is a globular cluster in the constellation Ophiuchus, and it is about 16kly away from us. I often use clusters to focus the telescope.

This image was taken on 8-2-22 with the 1m Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma in the Canary Islands, Spain. The telescope is operated by the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy (SARA)

The image consists of 10 unfiltered 4 second exposures and six 10 second exposure each in RGB.

Total exposure time is 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

NGC6914 Complex

The image corresponds to the NGC6914 complex, a beautiful area in the constellation of the swan, with a great variety of objects and different types of nebulae that provide spectacular colors.

Image was obtained last August from my own remote observatory at Àger, Catalonia, Spain.
Total integration time is 28h and 45' with a Vixen Visac F9 telescope, 1800mm focal length, QHY268M camera and LRGB and Ha filters.

IC 5201 in Grus (The Crane)

IC 5201 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Grus at a distance of 40 million light years.Given its apparent dimensions, means that IC 5201 is about 90,000 light years across. It was discovered by Joseph Lunt in 1900 from Cape Town Observatory in South Africa. IC 5201 is characterised by its bright bar, that measures 0.6 × 0.16 arc minutes. The galaxy has multiple thin arms which contain a large number of HII regions, where new stars are born.
IC 5201 is characterised as an isolated galaxy. Despite the fact IC 5201 does not belong to a galaxy group.

SHO Elephant Trunk Nebula

IC-1396 or the "Elephant Trunk" Nebula in SHO. This nebula is located in the constellation Cepheus roughly 2,400 light-years from Earth spanning about 20 light-years across. This nebula is composed of cooler gasses that block light on its way back to us, giving it it’s notorious shape of an “Elephant Trunk”.

Target: SNRG082.2 in Cygnus

This is a very faint Supernova remnant in the Cygnus region. I randomly found this area in Stellarium and wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised. There isn't much information on the web about this target, but it contains some interesting Oxygen 3 filaments. I may try and get more data on this region to try and get more detail on the OIII.

The nights of 11 and 12 September were particularly good (even excellent at few moments) in Paris; especially the night of the 11th as far as my balcony is concerned!
Here's a small selection of the best images (trying to vary the look of the planet a bit...) from those two nights.
The images of the 11th are on top and those of the 12th on the bottom ; you can see the difference of quality according to the time, the elevation of the planet and the seeing... the best one is probably the one of the 11th at 23h20 UT, with some beautiful details up to both of the poles...
