It was mostly cloudy during this October dark cycle. The first 2 nights were clear, dark and steady. During these two evenings I was able to capture over 10 hours of luminance with 2" average FWHM. Little did I know that it would take another 8 days to capture just over an hour of R and B and two hours of green. Overall I'm very happy I could capture at least one object during this unusually overcast month. (-:

Sun Analemma observed in Taipei, Taiwan at 4:30PM local time.
If you observe the sun at the same location and at the same time every day, you will find that the sun’s trajectory throughout the year looks like a figure 8 drawn in the sky. This is called sun analemma or directly called the sun figure 8. The figure 8 will be formed, which is related to the elliptical orbit of the earth's revolution and the tilt of its rotation axis. This sun analemma photo of Taipei is composed in Startrails by stacking 30 images taken at 4:30PM on different days with sun filter. This image was captured through 3nm ultra-narrowband filters and is a composite of ionized Sulphur, Hydrogen, and Oxygen atoms and displayed with a modified SHO "Hubble" Palette. Data was collected over 2 nights from the 11th to 12th of October 2021 from the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada.

This object is not one but two – two galaxies seeming to overlap by mere chance. The spiral galaxy in front is viewed nearly face-on, its pinwheel shape defined by young, blue, bright star clusters. Against the glow of the background galaxy, dark swirling lanes of interstellar dust appear to dominate the face-on spiral structure. The dust lanes are surprisingly pervasive, and this remarkable pair of overlapping galaxies is one of a small number of systems in which absorption of light from beyond a galaxy’s own stars can be used to directly explore its distribution of dust.

Seclusion near a forest
This beautiful cottage is located near Šumava mountains in Czech Republic. This lovely place keeps its calm and its starry sky which makes this location perfect for astronomers and other friends of clear skies.
Picture was taken in October 2021. This pano was cropped out from full sky pano which was made from 44 single shots with exposure time 13 seconds. Canon EOS 6D camera was used with ISO 6400 and Sigma Art 24 mm lens with aperture 2.2.

The almost full Moon sets over the peak crater of Teide, the highest point in Spain and the 3rd highest volcano on Earth from its ocean base. Remember that Teide is an active volcano.

LDN1251 (on the top of this image) is a complex nebula containing dark structures and faintly glowing / reflecting dust and gas. This type of object is sometimes referred to as a molecular cloud.
