Open cluster NGC 6087 in the constellation of Norma (S Normae Cluster)
NGC 6087 has a visual magnitude of 5.4, located 3,500 light-years away in the constellation Norma.
The cluster is centered on the star S Normae, which is also the brightest star of NGC 6087.

A Cosmic Question Mark - NGC 7762 and SH2-170 by William Ostling, on Flickr
This target is such a cool target to me – the question mark top is already incredibly interesting, and the little dot below is icing on the cake. NGC 7762 is the big curvy part of the question mark, and SH2-170 is the little dot at the bottom. This target is so big that I actually had to do a two panel mosaic! All the red in this image is caused by hydrogen gas being ionized by the large stars near it, causing the gas to glow red.

The different colors are recognized as corresponding to actual differences in the chemical composition of the lunar surface. Shades of blue reveal areas rich in ilmenite, which contains iron, titanium and oxygen, mainly titanium, while orange and purple show relatively poor regions of titanium and iron.

I would like to share with you my recent work on the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex. It's been a hard work due to its low altitude on the south horizon (I live close to Barcelona, 40ºN). Faint details are shown on this broad band image. I only used the best "subs" from a serie of moonless nights. All data captured from my backyard observatory.

The mutual events between Ganymede and Europa on 22 August 2021. It is a combination of Eclipse and Occultation.
These images were taken from Regional Observatory for the Public, Songkhla by using lucky imaging technique under a fair seeing.
I have captured 53 sets of RGB sequently, and it took around 2 hours in total.

The NASA/ESA’s Hubble Space Telescope has captured this image of NGC 7049, a mysterious looking galaxy on the border between spiral and elliptical galaxies. NGC 7049 is found in the constellation of Indus, and is the brightest of a cluster of galaxies, a so-called Brightest Cluster Galaxy (BCG). Typical BCGs are some of the oldest and most massive galaxies. They provide excellent opportunities for astronomers to study the elusive globular clusters lurking within.
The globular clusters in NGC 7049 are seen as the sprinkling of small faint points of light in the galaxy’s halo. The halo – the ghostly region of diffuse light surrounding the galaxy – is composed of myriads of individual stars and provides a luminous background to the remarkable swirling ring of dust lanes surrounding NGC 7049’s core. Globular clusters are very dense and compact groupings of a few hundreds of thousands of stars bound together by gravity. They contain some of the first stars to be produced in a galaxy. NGC 7049 has far fewer such clusters than other similar giant galaxies in very big, rich groups. This indicates to astronomers how the surrounding environment influenced the formation of galaxy halos in the early Universe.

This is the 'First light' image with a new RASA 14" F2.2 in Tivoli farm Namibia.
It is mounted on a Astelco NTM-500 direct drive mount
The camera is QHY600 Pro camera with 9600X6422 3.76um x 3.76um pixels
This image was composed from 6 filters data:
Ha,O3,S2,R,G,B
Ha - 5X7 minutes
S2,O3 - 5X5 minutes
R,G,B- 5X2 minutes (mainly for the star colors and the Red nebula)
All images were taken at BIN1
Even after some cropping the image is still a huge 9400X5720 Pixels therefore can't be presented here....
Total of only 1:30 HRS - but at F2.2 !!!
