Dear all,
I recently received this picture of a friend (of a friend) showing a sunrise over Berlin Neukölln. The effect of seeing two suns reminded me of the APOD A Triple Sunrise Over Gdansk Bay of August 4th 2009 (https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap090804.html). The respective description did not cover the underlying causes for this effect and left it up for discussion. Has there been any conclusion on this?
The friend saw this effect also with own eyes (not only through the camera), and from behind a window.
