Giant Cat's Paw - NGC 6334 in SHO-ish
This image is made of about 150 frames 1200 second each, with Ha, OIII and SII 3nm filters, collected over several nights with a small refractor over the past few weeks from our backyard in Whitsundays, Australia.

Hi Everyone, on July 16th I start to following the Transit of Europa over Jupiter. It took around 3 h from start to end.
The animation is made by 25 Frames, which each frame is the result of the stacked of the 10% of 10.000-11.000 frame video.

I used PIPP for centenring and cropping the videos, Autostakkert3 for the stacking, Registax 6 for the wavelets and RGB alignment, and finally PS for rotating the frames and some cosmetic corrections.
Ultimately, the video was made in PIPP with a frame rate of 7 fps.

I really enjoy this transit.

You will see it as a picture, but it is actually an animation, on flickr, or astrobin you can see it.

This image was shot at Waterford Ponds at 10:55:32 PM on Friday July 17, 2020.

What makes this image "Rare" is the fact that it contains not only #cometneowise but it also contains a partial "flyby" from the Internation Space Station. The ISS is not uncommon, but the fact that it is together with a "naked eye" comet that won't be making a trip past us for another 6800 years makes this a once in a lifetime shot.

I shot this from the dark night skies here at Craters of the Moon National Monument. This park is home to stunning night skies that are protected for future generations to enjoy.

Neowise - Cabo da Roca, Lisbon, Portugal - 17/07/2020

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Portugal and continental Europe. It is located in Colares, municipality of Sintra and district of Lisbon.

Yesterday I went with some friends to Cabo da Roca. Upon arriving, there was some fog on the horizon and, therefore, some doubts arose about the possibility of observing the comet! After sunset, when night started to fall, it was a surprise when the comet appeared on the first pictures! But the biggest surprise was when it got too dark! The comet was there! Very easy to observe with the naked eye and for much longer than I expected. In the photos appeared with two wonderful tails! It was a great night of observation and astrophotography.

NEOWISE and ISS over Kilbourne Hole
17 July 2020
Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE seen over Kilbourne Hole in southern New Mexico as the ISS orbits above. This was a special sighting for me as ,any Astronauts during the Apollo program trained at Kilbourne Hole in southern New Mexico to practice identifying geological features and sample collection procedures for their extravehicular activities on the lunar surface.

The comet C/2020 F3 is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as it won't pass Earth again for another 6,800 years. Starting this week, the comet is visible after sunset and so I decide to join the bandwagon. Even with the light pollution, I can still see the comet with the naked eyes.

Comet NEOWISE turning green

The phenomenon and the highest mountain of eastern Czech Republic (part of the Beskid Mountains)

As the comet gets farther away from the Sun, it is getting its signature green cast, which is now appearing on a photos. Unbelievable, how the comet changes in past few weeks.

The comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I decided to rent out the telephoto lens to shoot the close up view of the comet. Saltair is only 20 minutes from Salt Lake City but I'm shooting into the dark sky. First time tracking at long focal length (200mm) but I'm glad that there didn't seem any star trails.
