2 planets and 5 Moons
https://stefanoderosa.com/
Copyright: Stefano De Rosa Please find above a double exposure image, showing the Full Moon and Jupiter (and its moons) rising over the Basilica of Don Bosco, few kilometers from Turin (North West of Italy), on July 5, 2020. The long exposure used for the Earth landscape and Jupiter made it possible to display the Galilean moons at the sides of the giant planet (Callisto and Europa on the left and Io and Ganymede on the right).
During the photo session a display of Noctilucent clouds (pretty rare in Italy) was undergoing (see the second image).

Best regards

Stefano

The photo was taken Saturday, July 4th, in Seattle at 9:30 pm (PDT). This year, due to COVID19, there was no fireworks display in Seattle, but the Buck Moon put quite a beautiful show, as you can see in the photo. The American flag on top of the Space Needle is placed there every year for the four of July. This is a single photo.

Comet NEOWISE and NLC
Copyright: György Soponyai

Today early dawn I observed the most wonderful NLC-s I've ever seen. The clouds started to form at the time comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) was rising on the Northeastern horizon. I have never experienced such a wonder: the phenomena of the clouds quickly overshadowed the Comet itself. These two photos present the two different appearances of the event: one with a wide-field lens and one with a telephoto lens.

The comet and the Cedar of Lebanon
https://stefanoderosa.com/
Copyright: Stefano De Rosa Please find above a photo taken before dawn of July 9, 2020, showing the “close” encounter between comet Neowise and a majestic Cedar of Lebanon, sitting on a the Monfalletto Hill in the heart of The Langhe, the region in northwest Italy famous for its wines. Planted in 1856 by a married couple to commemorate their wedding and the love for that land, the tree is currently some 15 m in high and can be seen from many villages and cities of Langhe. This morning also the comet and the Cedar made up a great couple!

Best regards
