I can't help myself, I'm going crazy this time of year. Oh my goodness, the flowers on the ground and the flowering trees!!!
I absolutely love the Empress trees, which have large pale blue-violet bell-like flowers.
The Empress trees we have here are related to the gorgeous Jacaranda mimosifolia trees. How I wish we had them here!
Our Empress trees are pretty sparse and don't bloom as richly. Well, I love them anyway.
The girl standing next to the Empress tree in my picture has just graduated from high school, and she is wearing the typical white hat and some sort of white dress for graduates.

Yes Ann, flowering trees are gorgeous this time of year. We have a tri-colored beach that just leafed out. One of our neighbors has a chestnut tree that is my favorite in our area.
What has been the best surprise was our clematis.
Nestled amongst an over exuberant trumpet vine, it is thriving.
How anything can survive in something "trump" is a mystery. Freddy's Felicity "Only ascertain as a cat box survivor"

Lovely picture, Orin. Of course I'm happy to see such a gorgeous blue flower! And is it possible that you have such a "riot" of differently-colored morning glories? Amazing!!!
Tell me though, did someone vandalize your vine?

Sometimes people just seem to get this mean streak! I just hope it doesn't become a habit!

I'm attaching 1; The other went somewhere into
the computers files and I can't find it!
Notice how wet the soil in the planter is? At the
end of the day it was so dry, that it was hard, so
I had to water it again!
