GANYMEDE

It was the first time that I got some detail on Jupiter's moons, I did a processing of a unique video, focused only on the natural satellite, so the image of Jupiter doesn't come out very well, but I preferred to leave it like that rather than make composition.
I got the focus right and also the day.

Ganymede discovered by Galileo Galilei, is the main natural satellite of Jupiter, being bigger than the planet Mercury.

EARTHSHINE MOON

This picture of a 20% iluminated Moon was taken in Santarém, Portugal on 27-04-2020, arround 9 PM (local time). Beautiful in the sky this night, not to far away from Venus.

Several photos were taken with two diferente exposures, in order to show details on the Bright side and dark disk (earthshine) of the Moon. The Pictures were processed and combined using the softwares Autostakkert, PIPP and Photoshop.

I don't usually like the appearance of VdB 152, which I often find graceless. But this image is fascinating. I love the red streak running diagonally across the image, and the faint bluish elongated cloud running diagonally at almost right angles to the red streak. And the "planetary nebula impostor" (I don't think it's a real one) at upper left adds to the visual interest of the image.
