"Deranged"

360° panoramic view of the beautiful Dolomites, from the left: the Lastoi de Formin, the Mondeval, Mount Cernera under the beautiful constellation Orion, the Moon above the Marmolada, the Giau Pass with the polar star above and my silhouette below the Ursa Major.
The evening was extraordinarily clean and cold, the Passo Giau was silent and calm, the only (pleasant) noise was that of our snowshoes, exploring the area for the umpteenth time I decided that I would take my interpretation of the place at that moment.
The setting of the camera was: 6 shots for 30 seconds at f4 iso 1600 with canon 5d Mark4 and Samyang 12mm f2.8

"Airglow"

180°panoramic composite of winter Milky Way over Punta di Capineru, a beautiful beach in Corse. I have dedicated one of my solo trips to this spectacular island, sleeping in the car and cooking with a camping gas stove. Once I arrived in this area I captured the landscape during the astronomical twilight, making sure that the position of the Milky Way was correct and trying to get the maximum detail on the rocks; the sky was captured in a very dark and higher area of the island, so as to have less humidity, late at night.Settings: land: 1/13 sec of exposure, iso 400, f8; sky: 5 minutes of exposure, iso 800, f4

The NGC 2903 is a galaxy located in the constellation of Leo and which is about 20.5 million light years away from us.
It is very similar to our Milky Way, but slightly smaller and younger.
The shots are from the beginning of February, for a total of 11.4 hours of integration, more detailed info in the link to the photo.

The Makalii Cluster

The Pleaides in 14 hours of LRGB using a William Optics APO and an ASI1600MM-P. This cluster has appeared through history in dozens of cultures in both hemispheres of our globe, including Greek, Polynesian, Hebrew, and Native American tribes (and of course Japan). My favorite story about this cluster so far is I think from Hawaii in which the god Tane was jealous of the brilliance of the then-single star, so he broke it into the cluster we see today.

NGC 2170 in the constellation Monoceros has got to be one of the most colorful Nebulas in the night sky that I have captured. This will eventually be made into a mosaic to capture the rest of this wonderful target, but it will have to wait until next year now as the moon is back and I don't image below 40 degrees.

As you said, the detail in the core is amazing.

Me being me, a diehard lover of blue things, I prefer the bluer of the two pictures, the top one without Hα. Tell me something, though. While the color of the tails remains relatively unchanged with the addition of Hα, the color of the disks of the galaxies changes enormously. I find the color change in NGC 4039 the most interesting. NGC 4039 contains very little star formation, so I find it amazing that the color of its "dusty disk" changes so dramatically with the addition of Hα, from ever so slightly greenish-brown to a rather vivid shade of orange-brown. The only explanation I can think of is that all the dusty nebulas of the Antennae Galaxies are emitting low levels of Hα. Would you say that that is true?

A composition between me and my soulmate. We both love photography and we both love astronomy. I decided to compose my sky with her foreground including glorious wind turbine, because I just fell in love with the photo she took and we wanted to do some project together.

The sky is stack of 20 tracked photos. 20x30" f/2.8 ISO 6400 at 70 mm using my stock Canon EOS 6D Mark II and Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8 | Skywatcher Star Adventurer. Foreground is from Nikon D90.

One of the splendors situated in the Carina constellation, not visible in the Northern Hemisphere. It got its name only recently, being baptized in 2009 by Dr. Steve Mazlin, a member of Star Shadows Remote Observatory (SSRO) (Wikipedia). It was discovered by William Herschel during the nights from 14 to 16 of March 1834,196 years ago.

Zodiacal light above the Iron Curtain

Zodiacal light captured three years ago in Čížov which is located in Podyjí national park in Czech Republic. In the center of picture you can see watchtower which was part of the Iron Curtain. Iron Curtain divided Europe to the western and eastern part until 1989. Many people died trying to cross this border to get their freedom.

Pictured here is over 10-hours of exposure on a beautiful nebula visible in the Southern Hemisphere known as NGC3579. I used a PlaneWave Instruments CDK24 and L-600 mount to capture images with the FLI 16803 CCD camera from the dark night skies of ObsTech in Chile. The camera collected wavelengths of hydrogen gas (greenish color), sulfur (brownish red color), and oxygen (bluish color). When combined and mapped to RGB channels, the resulting Hubble Palette colors are shown. Needless to say I was blown away while processing this nebula!

IC 2944 - Running Chicken Nebula

My goal with this one was to feature the fine details present in the source data without overprocessing. It's even enjoyable at over 100% magnification - so many interesting areas in this object, from the small filaments to the dark Bok globules. I still didn't see the chicken though.
