Atacama Desert Milky Way
URL of website: www.mdieterichphoto.com
Copyright: Matt Dieterich The northern part of the Atacama Desert in Chile is home to beautiful night skies and unique lagoons. Pictured here is the Milky Way over Ojos Del Salar, which means "eyes of the desert" in Spanish. I thought the Milky Way reflecting in the water was pretty awesome while shooting the scene!

Chilean Milky Way with Zodiacal Light, Airlgow, and Magellanic Clouds
URL of website: www.mdieterichphoto.com
Copyright: Matt Dieterich I captured this view of the Milky Way paired with Zodiacal Light and airglow from Chile. The Zodiacal Light is caused by the setting Sun illuminating dust particles in space. What I love most about stargazing here in Chile is that the skies are very dark. If you look closely the Large Magellanic and Small Magellanic Clouds are visible above the observatory. Such a beautiful view of nature always makes me feel so connected to the Earth and Universe

SimonLi, this was your first post here, and I think your picture is delightful! I love the little orange "torch sphere" versus the majesty of the Universe beyond!SimonLi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 12:24 pm "Eye of the Universe"
The Milky Way and the road line formed a big eye shape, it seems to be observing everything in the world peacefully.
We climbed to the top of the rocks as if we were at the centre of the universe. The torch may not be able to light up the entire universe, but we know it can light up our lives.

That's a very fine portrait of NGC 1097, Lee Borsboom. The bar of NGC 1097 looks almost surreal. Just look at the parallel dust lanes in the yellowish bulge, meeting the central bar at right angles.
