Galaxy Cluster Abell 426 in Perseus
This is a section of the galaxy cluster Abell 426 in Perseus. It is about 250 million light-years away. The galaxy at the top of the picture is NGC 1275. While this object has an oval shape, we are actually looking at a spiral galaxy nearly edge-on as it emits gaseous filaments in multiple directions. NGC 1275 is also known as Perseus A and is a strong source of radio waves as well as X-rays from a black hole at its nucleus.
A 2003 study suggests that NGC 1275 may be generating sound waves at a period of 9.6 million years. [https://academic.oup.com/mnras/article/ ... 43/1015198] Wikipedia states that “no human will actually hear the note, because its time period between oscillations is 9.6 million years, which is 57 octaves below the keys in the middle of a piano. Comet Iwamoto - C/2018 Y1:
Recorded as you've chosen yesterdays APOD...but with shorter single exposures so I don't have that elongated coma.
Used a 10inch Newtonian reflector with attached APS-C sized DSLR in my own garden observatory.

GTC ( Gran Telescopio Canarias ) & Venus
Panoramic from the Roque de los Muchachos on La Palma with the GTC - Gran Telescopio Canarias, Venus putting on an intense reddish color and just above on the left M44 "Praesepe" in the Cancer constellation, in the middle of the resplendent "Zodiacal Light".
Above to the right of the image, the Via Lactea in Cepheus with the reddish zone of the Elephant Trunk nebula IC1396, and just below it a large Airglow arch and a meteor.

Roque de los muchachos - La Palma - Spain
The highest point on the island of La Palma with 2426m, the name of Roque de Los Muchachos comes from these forms, they are a series of small roques of about 3 meters high, which resemble a group of boys

A more artistic projection of the starry sky, composed of 50 images taken at 360°. The sky is presented in a circular form, mainly bounded all around the horizon by the Andean cordillera. The bright spots are created by the light of the surrounding towns and villages, even Chile does not completely escape the light pollution ... A little above the horizon, we can see the airglow that illuminates the sky in orange and green tones.
Finally, a gigantic X bars this sky: one of the branches is formed by the Milky Way, the other branch is created by the Zodiacal Light.

- Equipment used: Nikon D750, Carl zeiss 135mm Apo Sonnar ZF, Skywatcher Star Adventurer, Optlong L-Pro Filter
- Imaging target and time: Photomerge of 43 panels
- Briefly describe your photo, location of the photography included: This image have been taken in Otranto from June to September 2018. I have used Skywatcher Star Adventurer astro tracker with Optolong L-Pro filter for reduce light pollution. The sky is composed by 43 mosaic panels captured with Carl Zeiss 135mm Apo Sonnar ZF telephoto at f/4 ISO 1600 and 120” seconds of exposure for each image. Each panel Is ccomposed of 20 light frames and 5 darks.
- Digital processing methods employed: Why I use telephoto lens for capture milky way? Because a telephoto give to my milky way image extraordinary details and 3D image depht. The colors of the nebulae are not altered or added because my Nikon D750 lacks the infrared filter and therefore sensitive to the full spectrum of visible light. The entire mosaic Is a work of hundreds hours of Digital workflow in Adobe Photoshop with help of my Astro Panel.
