Astronomy Picture of the Day editors Jerry Bonnell and Robert Nemiroff will appear in public together (a rare thing!) at the AAS meeting to give a free public lecture about APOD on Tuesday evening, as you likely know from RJN's post about this on Asterisk.
The science program for the meeting is available in several formats offering different levels of detail; the block schedule is on Google docs and may soon be available as a PDF, and the online schedule is here. There's also a meeting app, which is handy for being confused about where to go when for what and finding additional sessions that you desperately want to attend scheduled at competing times.
For those interested, you can follow the meeting in various ways even from a distance:
- Twitter (You do not need a Twitter account to follow along.)
- Press conferences
- Astrobites, now "hosted and supported by the American Astronomical Society," may have people live-blogging the meeting, as they have in the past.
AstroBetter may include meeting information, too, and if I become aware of other live-blogging activities, I'll post links to them.
