Colourful storm

This photo describes what my first night in Utah looked like. Just one hour before it was stormy and I did not believe that I can see anything, but...
This was the night of Perseids and I have to say that I have never seen that much meteors like that night. It was just awesome!
I love night sky pics, but they cannot contain the feelings of the photographer even what was happening during that night...there were no sounds, I saw tenths of meteors, I was surrounded by thunderstorms, first nice structures of airglow I have ever seen...There were too much things that night.
And this is why I love astrophotography!
Canon EOS 6D, Tamron 24-70 mm f/2,8@3,2, 37 x 15s, ISO 8000.

Lone astronomer in Canyonlands: NP Canyonlands showed me how it is like to be in area with pure dark sky. It was just terrific view! Even with small telescope (10cm in diameter) we could saw galaxies, nebulas and clusters which we can't see from Czech Republic with that small telescope. I will never forget the silence and thousands of glittering stars. Canon EOS 6D, 29x13 s, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8@3.2, ISO 8000

I love the colors of your picture, Manuel Jung. The Andromeda galaxy is pale yellow-white (the bulge) and beige (the arms), the Triangulum galaxy is bluish, and Mirach is quite red.sternklar wrote: Tree Galaxies in a row - M 31, NGC 404 (Mirach's Ghost) and M 33, Berne, Switzerland, Okt. 12 2017

Here I attempted to show how the Moon appears a different size by our eyes, compared to how a camera sees it. I used a different zoom for each rising Moon against a set 70mm zoom for the camera's representation.

I love the vivid colors, obviously, but I also love how the picture makes it clear that a lot of very dark dust is seen in front of many of the colorful features.
The picture makes it easy to believe that the North America Nebula and the Pelican Nebula may be one and the same, separated by a thick dust lane between them (and possibly in front of them).
Perhaps there is a star responsible for ionizing all this nebulosity, and perhaps it is hidden behind all this dark dust.

Ferrero 6 (Fe 6) PN G129.6 +03.4
Copyright: Mark Hanson
https://www.hansonastronomy.com/ferrero ... n-g1296034
Explanation From Sakib Rasool
"Fe 6 is a planetary nebula that was discovered by the French amateur astronomer Laurent Ferrero in November 2013 whilst searching archival sky survey plates. It was spectroscopically confirmed as a true planetary nebula by the professional astronomer Laurence Sabin in January 2014. It has also been independently discovered in the professional IPHAS survey and is also known as IPHASX J015624.9+652830. Its structure consists of a low surface brightness bubble with a size of 3.5 arcminutes, which is accentuated by a thin "bright" rim on the outside. It is very likely to be an ancient evolved planetary nebula that is interacting with the interstellar medium (ISM) and its intensely blue central star is easily visible near the centre. Despite its faintness, it is possible to visually observe it in very large telescopes."

NGC 246 -The Skull Nebula
The Skull Nebula is located in the constellation Cetus. It is a planetary nebula discovered by William Herschel in 1785. From our vantage point, it has an angular resolution of 3.7 arcmin. The estimated diameter is about 2.3 light years, and is at a distance of 1,600 light years from our planet. The listed magnitude of the nebula is around 11th magnitude, so is has a fairly low surface brightness. Quite often, visual observers can find the foreground stars overpowering. The central star is fairly bright at 11.8 magnitude. The eastern limb of the nebula is brighter suggesting that it is interacting with the interstellar medium.
