The Large Magellanic Cloud
This Mosaic image was mainly composed of 6 panels. It could be accomplished with Takahashi Epsilon160 and STL11K carried on EM11 mount in Coonabarabran, Australia. All subframes and panels were processed in PixInsight and CS.

From the Cave to the Wave: Sharpless 2-155 to 2-160
To me, Sharpless 2-160 looks like a wave nearing the crest and about to crash. This widefield image is composed of Ha and RGB light.

Amazing night skies over Delicate Arch from none other than Arches National Park in Utah! Experiencing the night sky in southern Utah was on my bucket list for a while. The dry air and high elevation makes the night sky jump out at you. In this image you can see the Milky Way arching over top of Delicate Arch with wispy clouds passing above. The clouds were illuminated by light pollution from the city of Moab. This is a 30 image panorama captured with a Nikon D750 and 24mm lens.

SUPERMOON HALO

22°+ 46° ring halo + Circumscribed halo + Parhelic circle + Moon dogs (paraselenae)
That's a very rare halo display for the combination cirrostratus and Moon.
Kind regards,
Marco Rank

Honky-tonk Moon (Painting)
© Peter Blathwayt 2016. All rights reserved DACS
© Peter Blathwayt 2016. All rights reserved DACS
27 December 2012: from the train near London Waterloo station I sketched the fat Moon rising near the 'Shard' building. The syncopated rhythm of light and dark storeys put me in mind of keyboards and Scott Joplin's rags. (It helped that the building's architect was Renzo Piano!)
The sketch was then freely developed into this painting.
