I find the process to be largely the same. The larger wavelengths seem to spread out a bit differently than the smaller wavelengths, so point sources seem a bit fuzzier, even though they aren't... how to put it? The point spread function is, uh, bigger. The PSF for WISE seems kind of soft. It would be tempting for a lot of people to slap a sharpening filter on them. And I still yearn for more coverage of the electromagnetic spectrum despite having four bands to work with. The jump between W2 and W3 is far too large.
