Yes, this paper made me understand what happened to the star a lot better. It was an ordinary post-AGB protoplanetary and then suddenly, around 1980, bam! It's emission lines transformed to a planetary nebula suddenly. This gave an opportunity to watch the ionization of a post-AGB protoplanetary shell to a full-fledged planetary nebula.
