A november nightspectacle region in 50mm
A mosaic of the nightsky region covering areas of Andromeda, Cassiopea, Perseus, Taurus, Cetus, Aries and Triangle constellations, featuring notable objects as galaxies M31 and M33, nebulae as Heart (IC1805) and Soul (IC1848), California (NGC 1499) or Pacman (NGC281). Also, some clusters as M34, double cluster in Perseus (NGCs 869 and 884) or Pleiades M45. It is composed of 7 individual frames shot with a 50mm lens, each comprising approximately 60 min. of exposure.

The Small Magellanic cloud is a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, it is thought to be about 200,000 light-years from the Sun, and about 75,000 light-years from the Large Magellanic cloud, that's pretty close by galactic Standards, The Small Magellanic cloud is clasified as an irregular dwarf galaxy, careful observations of the proper motions of it's stars show that it is stretched out along the line of sight, probably due to gravitational interactions with the Milky Way and the Large Magellanic cloud. The Small Magellanic cloud is an important object in astronomical history, it was by measuring the brightness of stars in this galaxy from
photographic plates that Henrietta Leavitt discovered the period-luminosity relation of Cepheid variables.
To the right of the Small Magellanic cloud you will see the second brightest globular cluster in the sky 47 Tucanae, when you look at 47 Tucanae what you are seeing is the light of one million stars packed into a volume of space just 120 light-years across, that makes the heart of 47 Tucanae a very crowded place indeed! 47 Tucanae is thought to be around 16,000 light-years away from the Sun, so as you can see it is completely unrelated to the Small Magellanic cloud and just happens to occupy the same area of sky as the much more distant dwarf galaxy.
The image is the result of another collaboration between Astrophotographers Jonathan Green and Amit Kamble, Jonathan captured the image data and Amit processed the image in
PixInsight.
The image is made up from 23 x 1 minute exposures captured with a Canon 60da at ISO1250 through a Canon 200 mm lens set at f/3.2, 21 dark frames were subtracted for calibration and the stars were tracked using a iOptron sky Guider mount.

Iridium Flare Startrails
Copyright: Giuseppe Petricca
http://www.astrobin.com/228965/ This morning the alarm woke me up at 04:45 am to capture this beautiful Iridium Flare, that had a magnitude of -7.5. It was some time since I managed to take a picture of one of them, so I decided to merge this event with my second startrail ever, taken just after the Flare.
There are 60 shots of 1 minute lenght, joined and elaborated with the usual softwares, with the Flare in the first frame. Surely taking those pictures with the open window and 3°C (37°F) was surely a test, but that lead to a good result.
Instrumentation: Canon EOS 700D - 18-55mm IS STM - Lightroom CC - Startrails - Photoshop CC.

Super Nova Remnant G160.9 +02.6 or HB9
Super Nova Remnant G160.9 +02.6, or HB9 estimated to be less than 4 kpc distant and expanding at an estimated 18km/sec.
Sh2-217 and Sh2-219 are adjacent and to the North of the SNR.
Barnard 25 LDN1465 are in the emission nebula near the center of the image. Sh2-217 and Sh2-219 are 5.2kpc and 4.2 kpc distant.
Sh2-216 is the larger emission nebula near the top of the image. Alse designated as LBN 744 and LBN745
To the right or south of G160.9 +02.6 is LD1475, 76, 77, 80 VDB32 a clear absence of stars and a significantly large H-Alpha emission nebula covering the same area, near its center is the bright star Almaaz-Epsilon Aurigae.
Image is centered at
RA = 04 54 56.8
DEC= +46 38 15.
