A spectacular conjunction of Moon, Venus and Jupiter over an old salt factory. In the foreground can be seen the salt mounds, the wind mill and the sumps where the sea water is evaporated to recover the crystalized salt.

Photography circumpolar taking the sunrise from the "Mirador de los Andenes" (La Palma), very close to the observatory "Roque de los Muchachos" where the world's largest optical telescope, the GTC (Grantecan) is located. In the background is "El Pinar de Garafía" and the people "Roque del Faro".

Comet 67P Churyumov–Gerasimenko on July 21st, 09:46ut, 2015. The fuzz ball on the top right of the image is a distant Galaxy PGC 97062 also very faint a small meteor passed by also.

A soft focus filter have beeb used to create a magical light around the mill.

Zselic forrest is part of Duna-Dráva National Park. Locating far away from any light pollution, the Zselic is famous for being one of the darkest place in Europe, the first Hungarian Starry Sky Park was established here in 2007.

This is a really great picture of North America at the height of summer. The lush, green land practically blends in with the ocean. I almost thought Canada was gone! This is a stark contrast to a lot of the older Apollo images which show a much browner planet. Were they in winter or was it just that the Sahara of Africa is of course sandy? Hmm, well, I have seen a lot of pictures where the land is some crazy, unnatural looking bright green or bright brown, so this is really a treat.

These three beautiful images of Jupiter and Io are from 3 instances separated by only a few minutes, yet the UTC time annotations indicate otherwise. Odd.

Hi. I hope that Videos goes here as well. This is a 2700 photos time-lapse of the moon Venus and Jupiter setting. To make the video short I took an image each 2 sec (and not each 1 sec). To obtain a day-2-night effect, I changed exposure in the middle, and also I rendered the movie at 60FPS , so If you watch it on youtube change the setting to enjoy the HD HFR version.

"Fire in the Sky"

Here is a shot I took from Mount Rainier National Park. Mt. Rainier can be seen on the left of the image towards the north where the aurora was originating. This image contains aurora (pink), airglow (green), light pollution (light orange), and our Milky Way.

The Bardenas Reales-Navarra-Spain.

This is is a Natural Park of wild beauty declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It is a semi-desert landscape covering 42.500 hectares that is striking and surprises the visitor every time. An unusual spectacle in south-east Navarre, near Tudela which, despite its bare and inhospitable appearance, is home to great natural values.

In Bardenas Reales, the erosion of its clay, chalk and sandstone soils has sculpted capricious forms in the landscape to create almost lunar effects, full of gullies, plateaux and solitary hills.
