Least favorite APOD

I start my day, everyday, with APOD. For the second day in a row, http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html times out, no connection. http://www.nasa.gov/ is alive and well. Any news?

http://apod.nasa.gov/ is experiencing difficulties. We don't know why, yet.

Same problem here second day now. No chance to connect with APOD (I´m from/in Germany). Tried different preferences and configurations of FF and even hated IE..

But maybe you like this link: https://www.facebook.com/AstronomyPictureOfTheDay where the newest picture can be seen.

There are also some mirrors which translate the original APOD and because of that they are 1 day "late":

The Italian mirror would be nice for you ´cause they are "on" and in English!

Why was APOD off-line over the weekend, speaking of 20 years of " a source of web consistency"?
