I never thought a narrowband image of this nebula could be so lovely considering the nice colours in RGB! The planetary nebula is a surprise that I was unaware of previously! It seems to have been discovered recently and is catalogued as PN G225.5-02.5 and is quite small at 20 arcseconds.John Ebersole wrote: Cederblad 90, Gum 3, vdB 94 in HST Palette

Re: Submissions: 2015 January
Hello to everybody,
This is the first image I have taken from my new roll-off roof observatory (I took 18 months to get my final installation, in my fix observatory after my adquisicion, located in the Astronomical Observatories of Sabadell in the Montsec, in the town Àger-Lleida-Spain)
The image is not the important thing, because I have forced it too much, colors, noise, without definition, but the most important thing is that is the first time that have tested my new installation of my roll-off roof observatory.
I hope this is will be the beginning of a good year plenty of nights clear skies.
Details photo:
Place: Àger-Lleida (Remote control)
Date: 30-12-2014
Mount: Losmandy G11 Gemini II
Telescope: Takahashi Epsilon 180 ED
Camera: Canon 5D Mark II
Exposures: 10x300 sec + 10x150 sec + 12x60 sec all at ISO 1600, with darks, flats and bias.
Software: APT Astro Photography Tool v2.71 + Pixinsight 1.8
Titlte: M42 first light remote control roll-off roof observatory
Best Regards.

Hello friends,
Last week I made the Horsehead nebula, the seeing was very bad, clouds windy...but I was enjoying too much, this is the most important thing when you have a hobby!!!

Re: Submissions: 2015 January
There have been some excellent images of nebulae in the LMC this season, very happy to see them getting the attention they deserve! NGC 1760 (or N11 for the entire complex) is the second largest HII region in the LMC and this field of view is amazing! The looped nebula near the top of the image is N9 and this complex also includes a supernova remnant that I think was discovered in the 1990's. N11 also has a supernova remnant as part of the complex, it is the small purple bubble below and to the left of the central cavity.
Finally, I'm pretty sure your image includes some uncatalogued nebulae!

An image of comet Q2 Lovejoy from January 13th, in close proximity to M45. It will be closer to the Pleiades in a few days, and under dark skies it will be possible to catch the comet's tail over this open cluster.
The image is a 9 frames stack, each a 4 minute exposure at ISO800 with a Canon 550D and Sigma 50mm lens at F/4, from Comana Woods, Romania.
