A fantastic commentary, and probably not what you're expecting from the title...

Dear scientists, engineers, doctors, and other problem-solvers: You said you had the answers but here we are at the end and none of it worked. Why didn't you save us?

I feel no resentment against Kim Kardashian. I don't despise her either. I feel a complete, utter indifference to her. I don't hate her, and I don't wish her bad luck. I'm just totally uninterested in her.
I do feel resentment against our modern media which make so many people in the world today pay attention to Kim Kardashian's behind, and which turn things like climate change into a popularity poll. Hey you, do you believe in climate change? No? Looks like climate change isn't happening this week. Maybe next week it will, unless we can distract people with new sensational pictures of Kim Kardashian.

Unfortunately, climate change doesn't sell newspapers as well as a picture of a Kardashian posterior and when it comes to newspapers and magazines, sales is everything.
