Crown
In this time of the year, when the scorpion sets, in the other side Orion rises, the other arm of the Milky Way, the Milky Way sits horizontally on the horizon deploying a crown of stars in these latitudes of the southern hemisphere.

I took this photograph near Cape St Vincent (Portugal) in August. There, the sky is black enough to capture this phenomenon, as in front of me was only the vast ocean ...
