A massive cannibal galaxy in Fornax
This deep image of Fornax A (NGC 1316 in Fornax), reveals the full extent of the faint extended outer halo of stars around the large and complex galaxy NGC 1316 also known as Fornax A.
Faint tidal star streams and galactic shells can be seen in the halo and outer regions of the galaxy and this complex of sweeping structures points to an interactive and cannibalistic past.

Rise of the Milky Way and Venus in Singapore
http://www.justinngphoto.com/2014/02/28 ... singapore/
Copyright: Justin Ng My dream to capture the beautiful milky way galaxy has finally turned into a reality on the last day of February 2014 when the monsoon season is over. Milky Way images of major city like Singapore are rare due to its heavy light pollution. While Singapore is known for its heavy light pollution and many people believe it’s impossible to shoot stars and the elusive milky way in this city but all hope is not lost yet! Contrary to popular belief star trails and milky way photography are possible in Singapore if you know how and when to shoot them.
This is a single exposure shot of Milky Way Galaxy and Planet Venus rising from the horizon before dawn in Singapore, not a composite and no blending. The light pollution near the horizon was also apparent. After some post processing efforts, this is what we can get in Singapore. The color cast can be removed in post too but I thought I should just leave it so you have some idea on how it’s like shooting milkyway under a light polluted sky.

The Red Planet thru the Fog by Radical Retinoscopy, on Flickr
Mars was observed on a foggy morning in central Pennsylvania only two days from its closest approach to Earth on April 12, 2014. The passing fog really helped accent the reddish hue of the planet. The photograph was taken with a Canon T2i and a 8-15L lens at 15 mm.

I've never seen the outer arms of NGC 3718 captured in such detail! And, in the larger version of your image, look at that starforming ring of NGC 3729, too.
Wonderful!!!

ISS Goal!
While capturing some Milky Way images and time lapsing in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada I checked my ISS forecast to see when and where it would be passing. I had everything setup and ready when I noticed the International Space Station coming into the sky. I lookout up, setup toward the Northern Cross and prayed. Slowly noticing the ISS passing right between Deneb and Sadr I yelled "GOAL!!!!!" I love the night sky and boy does it get me worked up. This is a mosaic of 2 single exposures. Thanks for viewing.
