April 15th lunar eclipse

Hey gang-

Im hearing a lot about this lunar eclipse, which is slated to arrive in my neck of the woods at 3am EST, April 15th. Is a lunar eclipse something that happens quickly and dramatically- like a solar eclipse or is this something where the moon gradually changes color? Just curious if I should be camped out at 230 getting ready to see something amazing happen or is this something where I can stay in bed and get up at my normal time (4 am ) and see it when Im walking my dog?

Actually they are both. The first time is UTC and the second time is SF Local PDT

Yeah, unfortunately that's what its looking like- RAIN!!!!! I cant even believe they are calling for snow late wed evening!!!!

Maybe. I do have a personal hypothesis that it is dustier here than it is in rural areas because the cars are constantly kicking it up with their tires like a constantly stampeding herd. I don't think it gets very high though. It just settles all over my house (and especially inside my computer!) so fast that I can barely keep it clean. We could all lay a piece of tape face up in our houses for a week and then put another piece of tape over it once the week is done to measure the rate of dust accumulation.

Well, what a bummer!!! Went out this am and knew the weather forecast was going to be correct- cloud cover and ugly rain. Took my pooch for an uneventful walk before heading to the gym. Good thing there are still 3 more chances!!
