NGC 2451A and NGC 2451B
NGC 2451 is believed to have been recorded by Hodierna in 1654 and later included in the NGC. It has been described as a single cluster up until 1996 when convincing evidence was developed to show two clusters in line of sight. They are now designated as NGC 2451A and NGC 2451B.

Little Aurora Planet
This image is an 8 shot panoramic view from the pond at the Torrance Barrens, Ontario, Canada. This is the local dark sky for me and when the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) are active this is where I tend to be. I think everyone who chases aurora's have a special spot they like to sit and view. These places may have a connection that is more than just viewing or maybe your favorite spot has that perfect foreground subject. This little pond in the barrens has a beautiful view of the north horizon and it allows you to watch the aurora dance over the trees and also reflect in the water. A hard rock surface makes it a great surface to shoot astrophotography and also in the summer a nice warm place to lay down and watch the stars. Aurora chasing is a big passion of mine and I have been blessed not only with a local dark sky but lots of opportunities to view the beautiful lights dance above. This is my dream planet. Post done in Lr and Ps. Thanks for viewing.
