"In those rare moments of total quiet with a dark sky, I again feel the awe that struck me as a child. The feeling is utterly overwhelming as my mind races out across the stars. I feel peaceful and serene."

In years past, antennas have tracked Santa’s sleigh moving at an astounding 2,060 kilometres per second, making it possible for him to cover a worldwide crisscrossing voyage of 356 million kilometres and visiting an estimated 842 million households – all in one night!
Wow! Are we sure there aren't any nice children on Mars? Santa would make the trip there in - okay, I'll leave that for you to figure out, Margarita, since you are studying math and all. It sure sounds as if Santa is moving a lot faster than NASA's space probes, though. So if we can convince Santa that he should journey to Mars just to make sure that there aren't any little nice Martians waiting for him there, then maybe those who would like to go to Mars themselves could tag along. And next Christmas Santa could come along again and pick them up and bring them home again.Image
