The Last Sunflower Trail by
Radical Retinoscopy, on Flickr
158 fifteen second exposures were used to make a 40 minute star trail image of a row sunflowers in full bloom. A week after the photograph was taken the plants began to succumb to the coming of Fall making this the last sunflower star trail of the Summer. A Canon T2i was used with a Sigma 10-20 mm zoom lens. Tungsten white balance was used for the individual exposures providing the bluish cast.

Thank you.
When those images were taken it had only been two months with the CCD and less than one year total. I had taken 3 images with a dslr with the 3rd and final in January of 2013 before moving on to CCD. These were some of my first ones taken.
Amazing learning experience.
