It's rare enough to get clear skies at Cape Scott, Vancouver Island, Canada, and rarer still to have visible aurora this far south. An area known for its storms, Cape Scott witnessed a different sort of storm this past sunday, Nov 10.

IC 342 (Hidden Galaxy) - Spiral Galaxy type Scd in Camelopardalis

http://www.irida-observatory.org

Copyright: Velimir Popov, Emil Ivanov

IC 342 lies at low galactic latitude, only 10.5 degrees from the Galactic Equator, or the Milky Way's disc plane. Therefore, it is heavily obscured by interstellar matter of the Milky Way.
Higher resolution and more information is available on the website ...

Simeis 147 aka Sharpless 2-240
Copyright: Jeff Woods Simeis 147 is also known as the Spaghetti Nebula and is catalogued as Sharpless 2-240. It is one of the faintest nearby supernova remnants and is thus very difficult to photograph. It is the diameter of six full moons and at 3,000 light-years distance that makes it about 150 light-years wide. When the central star went supernova some 50,000 to 100,000 years ago, it left a spinning pulsar at the center.

High resolution version available at: http://www.astrobin.com/full/64821/0/

Full resolution version available from there by clicking "View -> Full Resolution" in the upper right.

Two panel mosaic, FSQ-106ED + STL-11000M, each panel integrated 10 x 2400 H-alpha, and 12 x 300 each of RGB at 1x1. CCD Stack, CS5.

Moon over Tibidabo, Barcelona

When I saw the huge moon going down directly to Tibidabo's Church in Barcelona, I knew I had only a few minutes to
prepare the material and make the photograph. I ran upstairs and I took my tripod, set the camera and looked at the
sky. I had 2 minutes left, so I enjoyed the views till the moment of pressing the shutter.

Technical Details
08 November 2013, 23:18. Sigma 70-300mm (shot made in 300mm), Nikon D300s, 1/8seg. in f/5.6. ISO 200, WB 5200.

Whoa, what's going on with ISON's nucleus there, Sergio?
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

Those are fantastic images, Sergio. Tell me, what filters have you used for the color pictures?

Thank you, Ann, I'm glad you liked it.
Well, it's simple as it gets, it's a DSLR, Canon T3i camera. That's it. Amateur equipment. :-)
It's been modified though (replacing internal filter), to accept more of Ha wavelength, as many DSLR astrophotographers do and I still use it for daytime works with custom white balance.
No additional Clip-In filters have been used.
