Aliens will find Earth absolutely amazingly beautiful and fragile to behold. But if they get close enough, they'll see 7,000,000,000 of us and think "Uh oh, that's a lot for such a small planet. Wonder if we should help?"

I don't have any pets, but here is a photo of my mother's sinister pug, Dexter.

Re: Pets
Sassy is sick so I am sad right now! The vet tells me that her body is rejecting her red blood cells; so she is on steroids and antibodies! They gave her a blood transfusion last week and is being monitored! I hope she can shake this off but I have my fears! I had to tell somebody; so I am writing it here!

my 4yr old bumkin named Buddy. A chatty ex-runaway Turkish Van who is too pudgy to catch anything fast.

Re: Pets
Orin, I'm sorry Sassy is so sick; it's very hard to see a beloved pet not doing well. It sounds like she is being very well cared for by her vet (and we already know she is being cared for very well at home!). I hope she improves!

Re: Pets
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts! Wednesday she got so week we were afraid that she would pass overnight; but lo and behold she woke up a little perky! Her red blood count is ridiculously low; but she seems to be getting stronger so our hopes are up!

Re: Pets
Sassy is doing way better! We are still taking her to the vet for checkups and medications! Her red count has gone up from 10 to 13&1/2 to 18&1/2! Needs to get up to a range from 37 to 55! The vet was happy and said her blood count was half way there!
This is her walking around the house with me a little while ago!
