What is it? Space mystery object?
Any of you guys remember this post?
it was awesome! I didnt realise the furore that my attempt caused in What is it? Space mystery object #39. haha. I posted a small version of the APOD from the 22/11/2008 (or 11/22/2008 if your American) the picture in question is a panorama found here:
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap081122.html
It sure was a toughie because I had to solve the mystery from my own clue haha, because i last posted it from a different computer from a different job. Anyways I found it, and contrary to some peoples postings, it wasnt a click through and was most definately an APOD from the archive.
I would very much like this post to come back and I am going to make one in the educational forum with the first clue. Good luck and enjoy because it was my favourite game on here to date.
Paul.

6) if you think of other rules that could help let me know.

I have no idea whether this one will prove difficult or not:
(BTW, when answering, is there really a need for a spoiler to mask a URL?)

Especially while the NASA site is down.
Hint: it's looking down on the former CCCP.

Yes, please use the spoiler tag so people can still work it out even if others already have. Thanks!

Ah, that's what that little white thing just off the center is (via bystanders second link. The APOD link won't display).

Re: What is it? Space mystery object?
Well done bystander ... tag you're it. I really didn't think it would be that hard, but wasn't sure. I grew up with a mother who liked doing 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles of things like a clear blue sky, and perhaps this rubbed off on me.

Huh. To me, it looks like the Triffid nebula overlaid with the Pleiades. So i have no idea what it is.

Why would you reference the apod.nasa.gov site at this point in time? Find a site that works.
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.
